My boyfriend and I are getting married in a courthouse how does that work?

Do i have to call the court house and sch a time and date? can i have people there? what do i wear? do we read vows to eachother? i want some wedding pictures but my boyfriend thinks the whole wedding thing is stupid and doesn't want to spend alot of time or money on it.
